We map the restricted tissue by hand and instrument.
A specific, instrument-assisted soft tissue technique that finds and treats deep scar tissue and chronic tightness other approaches miss.
What It Is
Graston Technique is a specific, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that uses a set of contoured stainless steel instruments to detect and treat areas of scar tissue, fascial restriction, and chronic tightness. It follows the same principle as IASTM but uses a defined protocol and instrument set your therapist is specifically trained on.
It’s commonly used for stubborn tendon and fascia issues that haven’t responded to stretching or standard hands-on work alone.

They share the same principle, using an instrument to detect and treat soft tissue restriction, but Graston follows a specific, patented protocol and instrument set your therapist trains on separately.
Some patients notice minor, temporary redness or light bruising over the treated area. It typically fades within a few days.
It varies by how long the restriction has been present, but many patients notice a change in mobility within a few sessions, used alongside exercise.
